About me

Roman Adler

Documentary photographer. Urbanist.

I photograph people. Those who live where history breaks destinies. Under fire. In unrecognized states. In foreign civilizations.

My camera is not a tool of documentation. It is a bridge. An encounter with the Other.

I work from an axiom: everything you photograph is you. The cleaner the inner vessel, the more honest the frame.

My works have been exhibited in Moscow, Strasbourg, Budapest, and Zurich. Published in international media.

But the greatest reward is not in award lists — it is in the quiet "thank you" from a person who allowed me to look at the world through their eyes once more.

Do you know what the most priceless thing in our lives is? The minute that has just passed. You cannot buy it back for any price, not for all the money in the world. Neither from God, nor from the devil!
